Gabriel Etonga is responsible for sourcing, investing in, and managing our portfolio of water infrastructure investments across Africa. He has over 10 years’ experience in end-to-end investment management mostly in private equity and development finance. He has structured and managed equity, debt, mezzanine, and fund investments across all stages of the investment cycle. His experience spans start-ups to mature businesses.
He most recently worked as an investment manager at AlphaMundi where he covered investments in Africa. Prior to joining AlphaMundi, he worked at Swedfund, and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) where he covered investments in the Manufacturing, Agribusiness, and Services sectors across Sub-Saharan Africa. He began his investment career at Centum Investment Company PLC where he covered Agribusiness, Consumer Services, Education, Energy, Financial Services, Healthcare, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, and Real Estate investments within East Africa.
Gabriel holds an MSc in Finance and BSc (Electrical and Electronic Engineering) degree from The University of Nairobi. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)and a candidate in the Level III exam of the CFA program.
