Two organizations collaborating to solve the global water crisis.

Water.org and WaterEquity developed a collaborative approach to solving the global water crisis by combining our strengths in philanthropy and impact investing. Together, we break down the financial barriers between people in need and access to safe water and sanitation. We do this by creating sustainable, scalable solutions that help empower families affected by the global water crisis.

By working together, Water.org and WaterEquity can accelerate progress towards our vision of safe water and sanitation for all. This collaboration maximizes impact, enabling more effective solutions to reach people in need of safe water and sanitation, faster.

It’s time to turn poverty into possibility. It’s time to end the global water crisis.

The impact of our work is accelerating because philanthropy sets everything in motion.

Water.org uses philanthropic funds to set-up market-driven financial solutions that bring safe water and sanitation to people living in poverty. When you donate to Water.org, we work with our in-country financial partners to add loans for water and sanitation solutions to their portfolios. These partners then mobilize funding from capital markets to provide affordable loans to people in need of water. We also partner with water and sanitation service providers to enhance their capacity to obtain financing and improve and expand service delivery for their customers.

Investment helps us move more quickly.

WaterEquity invests in financial institutions, enterprises, and infrastructure delivering safe water and sanitation solutions to low-income communities, while seeking financial returns for investors. These investments enable solutions to scale, while also demonstrating their market viability, so that more private capital will flow from additional investors. These efforts have the net effect of infusing more capital into a sector that is changing lives while also giving investors an opportunity to meet their social impact goals.
